NEWSWORTHY is a handwoven tapestry composed primarily of the plastic sleeves used to protect newspapers. Inspired by the visual language of Mondrian, the piece is built from simple rectangular forms and muted tones. The woven plastic creates a tactile surface reminiscent of paintings created with a palette knife, where subtle shifts in light animate the composition.
